Daw Khine Wai Thwe

Daw Khine Wai Thwe is a Certified Director, Faculty Member of the Myanmar Institute of Directors (MIoD), and Founder and Managing Partner of Alliance Vision Advisory Ltd. (AVA). She is also an alumna of the USAID Women Corporate Directors program. Her advisory focus spans strategic transitions, partnership development, executive leadership, and complex operating environments.

Khine’s director-level experience is anchored in her tenure at British American Tobacco Myanmar Ltd., where she played a pivotal role from establishment and joint-venture initiatives through to the company’s subsequent closure and divestment. She provided crucial management oversight across various business transformation projects, coordinating cross-functional teams and stakeholders to execute critical decisions.

Khine led regulatory compliance and stakeholder engagement as Chief Corporate Affairs Officer and Company Secretary at Digital Money Myanmar Ltd. (Wave Money), and fostered collaborative strategic networking as Head of Government Relations at Yoma Group, working across Yoma Strategic Holdings and First Myanmar Investment.

Khine has held active leadership roles across key business associations, including Co-Chair of the AMCHAM Myanmar’s Government Affairs Committee, Steering Committee Member of EuroCham Myanmar’s Anti-Illicit Trade Initiative, and President of the Myanmar Tobacco Association (2019–2020). Currently, she empowers women entrepreneurs and MSMEs as an Executive Committee Member and Chair of the Digital & Learning Platform Committee for the Myanmar Women Entrepreneurs Network (MYANWEN).

Through the global service network of Rotary International, Khine has served as Treasurer and Board Member of the Rotary Club of Yangon, contributing to the Club’s financial stewardship and community service activities.

Bringing a unique perspective spanning the full corporate lifecycle—from inception and growth to strategic transition and realignment—she advises boards and executive teams on sound strategic governance, operational resilience, collaborative partnerships, and sustainable growth.
